Dr. Saleh is a fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon with specialty in advanced reconstructive surgery, which includes limb salvage, Charcot reconstructive surgery, Ilizarov multiplanar external fixation, foot and ankle trauma, minimally invasive surgery, orthoplastics, wound care and limb deformity correction. Dr. Saleh also manages, either conservatively or surgically, all types of routine foot and ankle issues, such as bunions, hammertoes, plantar fasciitis, ankle sprains, sports injuries, work-related injuries, congenital deformities and more.

Being raised in New Jersey, Dr. Saleh attended Rutgers University where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. He received his DPM degree from The New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 2017. Dr. Saleh then completed a three-year high volume Podiatric Medical and Surgical Residency, with the added credential of Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery, at St. Mary’s General Hospital in Passaic, New Jersey. Throughout his residency training, Dr. Saleh was able to perform over 1,000 surgical procedures from all facets of foot and ankle surgery, almost tripling the minimum numbers required. He served as the chief resident in his final year covering three hospitals, two wound care centers and two surgery centers. During his tenure in residency, Dr. Saleh also served on the Graduate Medical Education Committee for St. Mary’s General Hospital. Following his residency, Dr. Saleh completed a one-year fellowship at the prestigious North Jersey Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Fellowship under the direct tutelage of Dr. Michael Subik, which is accredited by The American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. His fellowship training focused on complex, unique and limb preserving reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, working among renowned fellowship-trained doctors from podiatric, orthopedic, vascular and plastic surgery backgrounds.

Through his passion for education and research, Dr. Saleh has published multiple articles with several other articles currently in submission awaiting publication. He presents routinely at the national and state level on numerous ground breaking surgical techniques within the field of foot and ankle surgery. Dr. Saleh is currently on staff at St. Mary’s General Hospital, Hackensack University Medical Center, and Clara Maass Medical Center where he trains three different surgical residency programs. Currently, Dr. Saleh is also involved with his former fellowship program, where he serves as Director of Education for the incoming fellows. Dr. Saleh is board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, and board-qualified in foot and reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He also has obtained additional training in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.
